EU support for groundbreaking innovations with high disruption and growth potential

EIC Accelerator: 

The European Innovation Council (EIC) supports, under Horizon Europe (Link zur Internetseite) innovative developments that have the potential to fundamentally reshape existing markets and achieve strong international growth. With its funding instruments, the EIC accompanies the entire innovation process.

The EIC identifies novel technologies and ideas that, due to their possible disruptive effects, have the potential to produce global market leaders. All development stages are eligible for funding – from basic scientific research to validation, demonstration, and product maturity, all the way to company formation and the development of start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The calls include both open-topic and thematically focused funding lines.

The EIC Accelerator can provide up to EUR 2.5 million in funding, supplemented by a possible equity investment from an EU fund of up to EUR 10 million.

aws cooperates closely with the National Contact Point of the EIC at FFG, including through training offers for applicants preparing the “Full Proposal” for the EIC Accelerator.

EIC Plug In:

The aws Seedfinancing Deep Tech programme has been approved by the EIC (European Innovation Council) for the “EIC Plug In,” meaning that the first stage of the application for the EIC Accelerator can be skipped by companies funded through Seedfinancing Deep Tech. A recommendation of funded companies to the EIC is made after a short national selection process, carried out once or twice a year. Numerous beneficiaries of the Seedfinancing Deep Tech programme have already been successful in the EIC Accelerator.
