Korrosionsprüfung senkt Betriebskosten
aws Seedfinancing | Deep Tech | 2026 | Steiermark

Lower Costs Through Corrosion Testing
aws Seedfinancing | Deep Tech | 2026 | Styria
MPC² develops a mobile system for nondestructive corrosion testing directly on industrial facilities. Supported by aws Seedfinancing – Deep Tech, the company is preparing the technology for international rollout.
What does the company do?
MPC² develops technologies for corrosion testing, failure analysis, and predictive maintenance in the process and high-pressure industries. Its portable system for the first time enables electrochemical testing without the need for material sampling. With Corrosion Ray, corrosion risks can be assessed directly on site.
What is the funded project about?
The funding supports the market launch of Corrosion Ray. Planned activities include finalizing the prototype as well as launching automation processes and field tests with pilot customers.
What impact will the project have?
Corrosion Ray for the first time enables materials-science-based corrosion analyses directly on hard-to-access industrial components. Real-time data, AI-supported analytics, and integration with Industry 4.0 systems speed up inspection processes and reduce costs by up to 70 percent compared to conventional lab tests. Operators of critical infrastructure can make maintenance decisions on site and avoid unplanned downtime. The technology also increases plant safety, extends asset life cycles, and reduces material consumption and emissions. The project thus contributes to resource efficiency, climate neutrality, and the digitalization of industrial maintenance.
“Corrosion Ray revolutionizes corrosion testing. For the first time, operators of critical infrastructure can make real- time, on-site decisions about whether a component can continue to operate safely.”
