Bergardi entwickelt ergonomische Aktivstühle zur Vorbeugung gegen Rückenbeschwerden bei langen Sitzzeiten. aws Seedfinancing – Innovative Solutions unterstützt das Start-up bei der Markteinführung und dem breitenwirksamen Roll-out.

Womit beschäftigt sich das Unternehmen?

Bergardi entwickelt ergonomische Aktivstühle für Menschen mit langen Sitzzeiten. Die patentierte Smart-Moving-Technologie fördert Bewegung im Sitzen und hilft, Rückenbeschwerden vorzubeugen. So bleibt die Körperhaltung stabil. Produziert wird mit Komponenten aus der DACH-Region.

Worum geht’s beim geförderten Vorhaben?

Das Linzer Start-up entwickelt eine modulare Mechanik für unterschiedliche Sitzmöbel zur Serien- und Marktreife. Geplant sind der Aufbau inter- nationaler Produktions- und Vertriebspartnerschaften sowie die Skalierung zum Technologieanbieter.

Was bewirkt die Umsetzung des Projektes?

Das Projekt bringt aktiv-dynamisches Sitzen in größere Marktsegmente und macht ergonomische Bewegung im Alltag breiter verfügbar. Eine klinische Studie der FH Gesundheitsberufe OÖ zeigt, dass die Schmerzintensität bei Nutzung eines Bergardi-Stuhls im Vergleich zu statischen Bürostühlen signifikant sinkt. Durch die universell integrierbare Plattformtechnologie können künftig Büro-, Kinder- oder Industriestühle mit bewegungsfördernder Sitzmechanik ausgestattet werden. So wird mit Unterstützung der aws Gesundheit am Arbeitsplatz zur Realität.

Bergardi develops ergonomic active chairs designed to prevent back pain during prolonged periods of sitting. aws Seedfinancing – Innovative Solutions supports the start-up in bringing the product to market and enables a broad rollout.

What does the company do?

Bergardi develops ergonomic active chairs for people who spend long hours sitting. Its patented Smart Moving Technology promotes motion while seated and helps prevent back pain. This supports a stable body posture. The chairs are manufactured using components sourced from the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.

What is the funded project about?

The Linz-based start-up takes a modular mechanism for various types of seating furniture to series production and market readiness. The project includes establishing international production and sales partnerships and scaling the business into a technolo- gy provider.

What impact will the project have?

The project introduces active-dynamic sitting to larger market segments and makes ergonomic movement more accessible in everyday life. A clinical study conducted by the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria shows that using a Bergardi chair significantly reduces pain intensity compared to conventional static office chairs. Using the universally integrable platform technology, office chairs, children’s chairs, and industrial seating solutions can also be equipped with movement-promoting seating mechanisms in the future. With support from aws, healthier workplaces can become a reality.
