Cosmotaics entwickelt ein nachrüstbares Add-on für Photovoltaikanlagen, das Verschmutzung präventiv reduziert und gleichzeitig Tau- und Regenwasser für die Reinigung nutzbar macht. Im Unterschied zu klassischen Lösungen soll Staub nicht in relevantem Ausmaß haften bleiben. Dadurch sinken Reinigungsaufwand, Wasserverbrauch und Betriebskosten.

Mit der Förderung wird die Technologie von produktnahen Prototypen in Richtung einer marktfähigen Pilotlösung weiterentwickelt und unter realen Bedingungen getestet.

Durch die Nutzung von Tau- und Regenwasser verbindet Cosmotaics erneuerbare Energie mit einem sparsamen Wassereinsatz. Dadurch werden Solaranlagen effizienter betrieben und Ressourcen langfristig geschont.
