Mithilfe des aws Programmes bereitet MOTIC den Markteintritt des Cargobeast vor. Geplant sind die Fertigung einer Vorserie, der Aufbau der Serienproduktion sowie erste Vertriebs-, Marketing- und Kommunikationsmaßnahmen zur Positionierung im Markt.
Was bewirkt die Umsetzung des Projektes?
Das Projekt reduziert CO2-Emissionen und Verkehrsbelastung im urbanen Raum. Das Cargobeast benötigt deutlich weniger Energie als herkömmliche Lieferfahrzeuge und spart gleichzeitig Platz im Straßenraum. Mit einem Ladevolumen von 2,5 Kubikmetern und einer Nutzlast von bis zu 500 Kilogramm bleibt das Fahrzeug vollständig in bestehende Logistikprozesse integrierbar. Die absenkbare Ladefläche erleichtert das Be- und Entladen und verbessert die Effizienz im täglichen Einsatz. Zugleich zeigt das Projekt, dass wirtschaftliche Transportlösungen und nachhaltige Mobilität kombinierbar sind.

MOTIC has developed Cargobeast, an electric cargo bike designed for sustainable urban logistics. aws Seedfinancing – Innovative Solutions supports the series production and market launch of the vehicle.
What does the company do?
MOTIC develops Cargobeast, a cargo e-bike for urban mobility and logistics. The vehicle takes up less than half the road space of a small delivery van, reduces energy consumption by around 75 percent, and still offers comparable transport capacity.
What is the funded project about?
With support from aws, MOTIC is preparing the market launch of Cargobeast. Steps planned include a pilot series, building capacities for series production, and first sales, marketing and communication measures to position the vehicle in the market.
What impact will the project have?
The project reduces carbon emissions and traffic congestion in urban areas. Cargobeast needs significantly less energy than conventional delivery vehicles and takes up less urban road space.
